Newsflash

Today work began on the newly dubbed "Ratt Trail" which will serve as our connection trail to Trail 100 from our apartment.  It is hardly used, let along by mtn bikers with plenty of brush and rocks along the way.  More info on the trail coming soon!

Granite Basin Trail System Recap PDF Print E-mail

Yea that trail system kicked ass!  We headed down to Prescott to shred the Granite Basin Trail System for the weekend.  It was a great way to test our skills on another type of trail system and we came through in grand style.

Matt and I went up Saturday afternoon and hooked up with our friend Dennis @ the Yavapi Campground.  From there we unloaded the bikes and headed for Metate Trailhead.  After hitting 35.4mph on the road to the trailhead we began our trail ride on 351, then onto the uphill climb upto 347 which is a gnarly downhill section that dumps onto a short run on 348.  We repeated this loop several times throughout the day and ended with trail 350 and 355.  We headed back to camp around sundown and proceeded to eat and drink our ways to bed.  I was the first one to bed and the last one to get up!  So onto Sunday, after some quick eggs we headed out to trail 349 and rode it around and back through to our loop for some fun before heading back onto 349 to head back.  We loaded up, grab some grub @ the Dinner Bell in downtown Prescott and beat the traffic back home.

We'll have more on the writeup and pictures soon!
